Worth knowing
Fine merino pills where it rubs – underarms, the front where a bag sits – for the first few weeks. A wool comb takes it off and it reduces with time. It is also not machine-tough: hand wash or a true wool cycle only.

Merino at 18.5 microns is fine enough that most people who say wool itches can wear it against the neck. The 12-gauge knit is light enough for a mild autumn day and warm enough for a January morning under a coat.
The neck is long, so it folds twice and sits soft rather than tight. The cuffs are a deep 12 cm rib, and the body is relaxed with a dropped shoulder – roomy, but not oversized.
