03 / How a piece gets picked

Worn for weeks, washed ten times, then written up honestly

Most samples do not make the list.

Every candidate is worn and washed at least ten times at the temperature on its label. We measure it before and after and note what shrank, pilled, faded or stretched. If we would still buy it, it goes on sale with four facts on its page:

  1. Weight or gauge. Grams per square metre, or knitting gauge for knitwear.
  2. The pattern. Women’s, men’s or unisex — the shape, not a rule about who wears it.
  3. Origin. The country it was made in.
  4. Worth knowing. The main drawback of the fabric or cut, in plain words.

Nothing we sell carries a logo, a printed or embroidered wordmark, a patch or an outside label — just a plain tab inside with the size and care. Nothing is a copy or a “version” of another brand’s design. And nothing on this site is on a timer: reductions are capped at 18% and only ever measured against the previous 30 days’ price.
